Dear Fellow Floridian,

Like you and millions of Americans, my wife and I have been paying close attention to the news of the past several weeks. It’s clear that Washington needs to change the way it operates. We need new and bold leadership to navigate our country through difficult times – not professional politicians who’s first instinct is to raise our taxes to pay for their mess.

My name is Tom Rooney. I am running for Congress to make sure that our children and grandchildren don’t have to endure a financial meltdown or an energy crisis.

As a fiscal conservative, I’ll fight wasteful spending and work to lower taxes. I’ll support drilling and a balanced energy plan that will reduce gas prices.

As a former U.S. Army captain and criminal prosecutor, I know about leadership and what it takes to get the job done. Less government, less taxes, more freedom – it’s a slogan that Washington’s forgotten, but Floridian’s haven’t.
