Marine Industries Endorse Rooney

The Marine Industries of the Treasure Coast (MIATC) has endorsed Tom Rooney in his bid for Florida’s 16th Congressional district.

“The marine industry is vital to the local economy of the Treasure Coast, Tom Rooney will work to protect boating and related industries throughout South Florida and will work to ensure the industry stays strong,” said MIATC Board Member John Yudin. “Tom is also committed to protecting the environment and the waters of the Treasure Coast for future generations to enjoy.”

The MIATC is a not-for-profit trade association comprised of members in Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River and Okeechobee counties who are dedicated to the promotion of pleasure boating and its related industries through education of our members and the boating public.

“I am very thankful for the endorsement of the MIATC,” said Tom Rooney. “The marine industry is one of the largest industries on the Treasure Coast and is crucial to the economy. I will fight to ensure the industry is not bogged down by unnecessary government regulation and can continue to thrive.”
