Finance Chairman Brian Ballard praises Rooney’s Bid For Congress

Tom Rooney, GOP candidate for CD 16, raised over
$500,000 in 2007. Rooney raised more than $124,000 in the 4th quarter of
last year. Rooney continues to outpace his all opponents in the Republican
primary.

Rooney’s Finance Chairman Brian Ballard said, “Tom’s military
service, legal experience and his unyielding commitment to our
community make him uniquely qualified to be Florida’s next Republican
congressman.” Ballard added, “I am proud to serve as his finance
chairman and work hard for his success.”

Rooney, a United States Army JAG Corps officer and former criminal
prosecutor with the U.S. Attorney’s Office, is the only first time
candidate in the contest for CD 16. In addition to his JAG service, Rooney
taught Rules of Engagement at the United States Military
Academy at West Point, N.Y.
and was the CEO of Home Safe, a shelter for
abused, abandoned and neglected children in Palm Beach County.
